Can Website Cloning be troublesome?

Website Cloning can certainly be a distinct facet than the designing criteria. Website designing is the process of creating a website from scratch whereas here in cloning an already developed website design is duplicated and all its features and functionalities are copied. It can sound to be an easy way to achieve a highly proficient web space, but there are many complexities associated with the cloning too.

In order to clone a website the web designers must require professional and technical skills and must be able to make a commitment to deliver excellence. Creating an exact replica is not easy as many developers fail to meet the exact standards of the original portal in the cloned copy.
Here are a few of such mistakes that many web page designers make in the Website Cloning process. They are as follows:

Broken Links may refer to the web pages that are not available or the servers which are down/slow on the site. In order to avoid such issues, the web developers must regularly check all the server's error and links thoroughly before making them live on the cyberspace.
During the development phase you must remember not to use HTML extensions specific to one browser only. You can never assume from which browser your visitors may be creeping into your space, so you must be ready to offer accessible from any web browser. Making your site compatible with all the browsers is a good option.

Deep Linking is the process of linking your website to someone else's content or images without the owner's consent. This can be considered as an online theft and your blog may be facing a lot of legal trouble in the near future. Hence, it is always better to ask permission before using other people's content or images.

Avoid using HTTP links for transferring binary or large files from your space as most of the browsers do not process binary files accurately. If you want your web space to be reliable make use of FTP whenever possible for transferring files etc.

·         Very Large Images:
Using large is not really a good option as it can spoil the curb of your entire site. The images you use should never be larger than about 20 KB.

·         Cookies Required:
Cookies are a small piece of data sent from a web page and stored on a user's web browser while a user is browsing a site. These are unreliable sets of queries by which most of the users are irritated. So whenever using cookies, for any reason, you should make sure that cookies are only returned to the server instead of browsers.

If your website needs a plug in for kind of usage, your website must display clearly what plug-in is required and also must provide a link to its source for the user help. If a user installs all the plug-ins offered by the sites they visit, they can lead to a browser crash and even loss of data. You must also avoid content which requires proprietary software.

Certainly most of these mistakes can be avoided by regular testing all the links, data, images, flash if any, and also the content on your site. You must keep in mind that a website design represents your company to current and potential clients, so you must make sure that they get a pleasant experience while browsing your site. Hence, being observant throughout the Website Cloning is very crucial. You can't just Clone a Website without some knowledge and experience about the web design and issues associated with it.
